Please use the search form above to find your legislators.
Phone calls are the most effective way to contact a legislator. Calls are logged by staff and signal urgency. If you don't want to speak live, you can call after hours and leave a voicemail. It still counts. Email works too, but may take longer. You'll usually speak with a staff member, not the legislator. They're simply noting whether you're for or against an issue, so a short message is enough.
Hi, my name is ___. I'd like to give my opinion about an issue (or bill).
Give the staff member a moment to get their document to write down your opinion.
I live in [City]. I'm calling to share my view on [issue or bill]. I am [for or against] this issue. Thank you for your time.
They may ask what neighborhood you're in or your home address. Legislators represent specific areas, so this is to make sure you're calling the right legislator.
